FUNDRAISING & CAUSES
What good can copy do? Plenty.
Featured project: Jewish Women of Words
|
As a Creative Director I love giving back through pro bono work for small nonprofits. When I matched with Jewish Women of Words (JWOW) on the Catchafire volunteering platform, their mission resonated with me: to empower and amplify the voices of women writers.
I partnered with JWOW to write a series of email campaigns with a 38-50% open rate, then brought in my CD/AD colleague to co-create their first social media campaign on women's strength and resilience. My favorite part of this project? Bringing women together as leaders and creatives for a good cause. (Art direction/design: Anu Agarwal) |

TripAdvisor & IRC refugee crisis relief
I worked with TripAdvisor marketers and International Rescue Committee (IRC) to create compelling copy for a campaign landing page, global email, and accompanying social media posts that raised more than $500,000 for refugee crisis relief in just a few weeks. (Designer: Chih Lee.)
Oxfam: Fighting world hunger
As a writer at Oxfam, I created direct mail, event collateral, and online materials for the organization's annual fall campaign to fight world hunger – including a Thanksgiving postcard, left, that remains one of my favorites. (Designers: Jessica Erickson, Emily Eberle)

Oxfam: Responding to disasters
While at Oxfam I had to quickly create everything from online articles to banner ads (left) in the immediate aftermath of global disasters, helping to raise millions of dollars in donations for crises the Phillippines typhoon, Nepal earthquake, and more. This was a powerful education for me as a writer as well as a memorable opportunity to make a difference.
